4 Victims Shot at Howe Community Park – Unauthorized Event Ends in Shooting





On April 18 2026, a large unauthorized party of hundreds of people at the Howe Park area in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento descended into chaos when between 20 and 25 shots were discharged as Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies were actively breaking up the gathering.

How Events Unfolded

At around 6:30 PM on April 18, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office received calls involving individuals who may have been carrying concealed weapons at the park. A second caller indicated a reported fight and individuals fleeing the scene.

An airship was sent to the area and swept the area but did not locate any active disturbance.

Nonetheless, an estimated several hundred attendees had congregated at Howe Park for what the sheriff's office identified as an unsanctioned event. Law enforcement personnel positioned themselves around the park, turned on their emergency lights, and used roughly 15 minutes instructing attendees to vacate the area through their vehicle PA systems.

As law enforcement was clearing the area, 20 to 25 rounds of gunfire echoed through the area — causing hundreds to check here flee in all directions at once.

Shooting Victims

Four gunshot victims — one woman and three male victims, all in their 20s — were rushed to local hospitals. Two victims had injuries classified as immediate, one suffered moderate injuries, and one had minor injuries. All four were listed as stable. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department responded and assisted with triage on scene.

The Crime Scene

The shooting was centered on the Cottage Way side side of the park adjacent to the nearby Home Depot at the 2200 block of Howe Ave. get more info The Home Depot store was temporarily locked down. What We Know About Suspects

Over law enforcement radio traffic, it was revealed website that a suspect car — a Kia automobile — was contacted in nearby Solano County with four people in custody.
